Illustration Friday - Suspense
The following was a comment someone had written on my facebook post and is so worth repeating: "OMG, are they now in the land of Foom, or were they Foomed? Did they escape this mortal coil? Or moved through time? Or have they entered a new dimensions? Or will they run into Garfield? Was this escape caused by outside powers, or low quality ink used in line drawing? i.e. was it the Artist, or the artist?"
Illustration Friday - Sink
I like to enjoy life & have fun with every blink,
even if I'm simply bringing dishes to the sink.
And... I don't care what the neighbors think.
Illustration Friday - Separated
"They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts." Ephesians 4:18
"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. James 4:7-8
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
Illustration Friday - Brigade
It's the local two-person, fix-the-world brigade.
Illustration Friday - Round
Ever tried shooting a round of bubbles? But don't even shoot bubbles with animosity in your heart. Deal with the heart issues first, then you will be free to shoot for fun.
Illustration Friday - Vanity
Illustration Friday - Boundaries
One might wonder where the boundaries are, when it comes to the invasion of everything being microchipped. On a similar note, I can't help but wonder what the use of the privacy laws are, when my husband can't call the phone company on my behalf, or when someone you love is in the hospital and they won't let you know due to privacy laws. Yet people you don't know or love can find out all sorts of information through these chips. Somethings amiss!
Illustration Friday - Influence
One might consider how much they've been influenced by the Western Worlds Me-First and Get-All-You-Can way of thinking. Don't ever forget people are more important than things.
Illustration Friday - Swell
Life is swell just the way it is. Really, it is.
Illustration Friday - Imperfect
We live in an imperfect world.
Illustration Friday - Obsession
Illustration Friday - Perennial
This is what I have to illustrate "Perennial." In retrospect I would have chosen a different plant, because apple seeds take more than 2 days to sprout. Actually in real life almost everything takes more than 2 days to sprout. But not in the comics!
Illustration Friday - Gesture
Thanks, Derry. Such a nice gesture.
Illustration Friday - Stay
Here we have our pacifist hero giving an illustration of the word 'stay' for illustration Friday. Commander Broccoli goes to great creative lengths to fight for justice in non-violent ways.
Illustration Friday - Remedy
Best remedy I know of for any ailment. But ya gotta seek, and ya gotta want it (or shall I say Him) more than anything else. Of course it's worth it! Hope you have many amazing, wonderful and healing 'moments' with Him.
Illustration Friday - Midsummer Night
Illustration Friday - Shadow
Illustration Friday - Asleep
Things are always more intense when you're asleep.
Illustration Friday - Beginner
There was an interesting sign near our place a few years back that really did say 'Encourage Someone Today'. I don't know who put it there and they weren't advertising anything so I guess they just wanted to spread a positive message. This comic was inspired by a person in my life who has had a hard time giving out compliments and encouragement. They did try though. A beginners efforts can be simultaneously awkward, commendable and good comic material.
Illustration Friday - Lesson
Sometimes we learn lessons the hard way.
Illustration Friday - Journey
Here are six comics about Commander Broccoli's fridge, who, dissatisfied with his lot in life, goes on a journey and months later returns with a much different attitude. They are separate but consecutive.
Illustration Friday - Bottled
The guy in the bottle is Flingo, he first appeared in my comics in 2006.
